New! Three Limited Edition Books
Having entered his 73rd year, and having completed The London Trilogy - a project that took almost 12 years to finish - Milan feels that he must surely have entered the concluding stages of his active life as a creative photographer. The majority of his work has been realised without any commercial motive and only in connection with two of his major exhibitions has he received any sponsorship at all - his creative work has never been sponsored.
Examples of Milan’s highly original photography in plant portrait and still life have been exhibited in art galleries in London and New York, and it is Milan’s firm intention to donate to the British Library, as a tribute to his adopted country, all the images that are displayed in the three new collections of his photographs which he is now publishing, together with the associated copyright.
The extraordinary, folio ‘Heritage Book’, comprising all the 100 Faces of London portraits, has already become part of the British Library’s Rare Photographic Books Collection. Likewise, the limited-edition, hardback books, associated with each of the three components of The London Trilogy, are also deposited with all six UK ‘copyright libraries’.
Milan’s self-contained series of thirty-two, black & white photographs of Shoreditch and Whitechapel in East London, taken during 1975, were donated some years ago to the Tower Hamlets Local History Library and Archives.
And now, perhaps as a kind of valedictory gesture, Milan has produced three final, limited-edition collections of his work, copies of which have been donated to the British Library and the other copyright libraries. These are :

Two of the 294x300mm, hardback volumes contain 70 pages of high-quality, full-colour images. The 'Portraits' book is considerably larger, at 220 pages. All three books are being printed in Germany.
As in the past, while these collections are being produced primarily for archive purposes, additional copies have been made available to order, virtually at the cost of production, by collectors of Milan’s work. The price is 65 UK Pounds per volume, with the much larger, 'Portraits' book costing 120 UK Pounds. The prices are high simply because of the fine quality of the printing and the very short print runs - the exact price, inclusive of postage and packing, will be confirmed upon receipt of individual orders.
